A call for a break. A time to breathe . Bolinao, Pangasinan

Here's our first(wanting to come back again) visit in Bolinao, Pangasinan last March 2011. We went there by bus for about 6hrs. travel time from Manila (Five Star Bus Station in Pasay). We didn't catch the first trip at 7am, we left at 8:30. We arrived in Bolinao at around 3.  We stayed in Villa Carolina Beach Resort (Php3500 good for 6-8 persons) located in Brgy. Ilog Malino, Bolinao, Pangasinan beside Puerto Del Sol and Punta Riviera.

The tricycle terminal is just right in front of the Five Star Bus Terminal. We bought foods to cook in the market right at the back of the church. 5-10mins walk from terminal.

The beach is more or less 20kms from there. Don't forget to haggle. Some drivers will offer you Php250 for a ride, but you can just actually pay just 150 for the ride, in our case we rented two tricycles since we're a group of 5. I bargained with Kuya Joey and Kuya Albert for the tour, we agreed with Php200/2hrs.

Our mini tour the next day.
We actually planned to take a plunge in the morning before our tour. But the water is too shallow, so we took pictures instead. We were picked up at around 8am.

low tide :(

its sad that we can't swim with this

Our first destination:

cape bolinao lighthouse

Our second destination:

I fell in love with Patar Beach, but we don't have much time to stay longer. No entrance fee. Lots of stores to buy pasalubong. Has pay showers and CRs. Met kuya Benjie who own Kubos for rent from Php 1500 and above. Here are his contact numbers: 09108366257/09213393975. If we only knew that the beach is more beautiful here than in Bgy. Malino, then we should've stayed here and the rent is more affordable. Will definitely stay here on my next visit. ;p

the enchanted cave. you'll be amazed.

and going down to the cave ;)

that time the water is 15ft. deep. there are ropes on the side.
the water smells like HOLY WATER.

We weren't able to visit the Marine Sanctuary where we can go snorkeling with the giant clams cause its out of the way and we need to consider the 6hrs travel time to Manila.

Goin' home. We have work the next day.

Of course we visited the church to thank him for the well-worth overnight vacation.

And then went to the market to buy some pasalubong-- dried squid and fish, bagoong, etc.
